Question's Short Description

The forward and spinning movement of the ball as it rolls down the lane.

Question's Long Description

When a heavy bowling ball rolls down a wooden lane, it has both translational kinetic energy (moving from one place to another) and rotational kinetic energy (spinning on its axis). Because of its substantial mass, it possesses massive amounts of energy that transfer to the bowling pins upon impact.
